URSUS and InfoNet delivery services for books held by other libraries in the URSUS and InfoNet catalogs
Interlibrary Loan for articles in journals not held by Fogler Library, and for non- URSUS/InfoNet books
University of Maine faculty and staff may use URSUS to request that books located at Fogler Library be sent to your Orono campus office. When viewing the record for an item you wish to request, click request and enter the information requested. In the box labeled "Choose a Pickup Location," select "Orono." Circulation staff will retrieve the books from the stacks, check them out to you, and send them through campus mail, usually within 24 hours.
Journal Article Retrieval Service
University of Maine faculty and staff may use this service to obtain photocopies of journal articles held by Fogler Library. Photocopy Services staff retrieves, photocopies, and sends the journal article(s) through campus mail to the person submitting the request, usually within 24 hours. For more information or to check on the status of a request call Photocopy Services at 581-1684.
Cost
The cost is .08 per page. A departmental account number must be supplied for the photocopy charges. Your department will be billed once a month for photocopies.
How to request journal articles

URSUS and InfoNet delivery services
Most books that are listed in the URSUS and
InfoNet catalogs with the status "Available," and are located at
libraries other than Fogler (e.g. UM-Fort Kent, Bowdoin), may be requested
online. When viewing a record in URSUS for an item you wish to request,
click the request button and enter the information required. In the box labeled
"Choose Pickup Location," select "Orono." Within InfoNet,
firsr select "URSUS" from the pull-down menu below the question
"With which institution are you affiliated?" After the loaning library mails the books to Fogler
Library, Circulation staff will check them out to you and send them through campus
mail. Books are usually delivered within one week.
Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) forms for
articles in journals not held by Fogler Library, and for books not listed
in, or not currently "available" for request in, the URSUS and
InfoNet catalogs. For more
