ERIC Databases
- ERIC is a Department of Education database that began in
1966.Fogler Library has two versions of ERIC. The
EBSCO version is easier to search and has quicker access to
full-text. Article Linker provides access to full-text from
other sources. You can access this database through
MARVEL!
(Maine's Virtual Library)
if you do not have a UMaine Card. However, you will
have access to fewer full-text articles.

Education Full Text Database This is a high quality database produced by
W. H. Wilson that began in 1983. Journals are indexed "cover to cover"
and the search can be reliably limited to peer reviewed journals. This
database provides full text for over 350 journal titles. Article
Linker provides full-text from other sources. You need a UMaine card to
access this database.

| Google Scholar -This is a
subset of Google that searches through academic materials. Before using
Google Scholar make sure you have set your Scholar Preference so that
you can access UMaine online subscriptions. You need a UMaine Card to
access online journals. |

Connecting to Databases Remotely
- You can connect to the databases remotely.
- You will need to use the 14 digit number on the back of your UMaine card.
- Your library account should be activated with
registration, if you have problems contact circulation at
581-1666.
