Searching for Articles
ERIC Databases  - ERIC is a Department of Education database that began in 1966.Fogler Library has two versions of  ERIC. The EBSCO version is easier to search and has quicker access to full-text.  Article Linker provides access to full-text from other sources. You can access this database through MARVEL! (Maine's Virtual Library) if you do not have a UMaine Card.  However, you will have access to fewer full-text articles.
Education Full Text Database This is a high quality database produced by W. H. Wilson that began in 1983.  Journals are indexed "cover to cover" and the search can be reliably limited to peer reviewed journals. This database provides full text for over 350 journal titles.  Article Linker provides full-text from other sources. You need a UMaine card to access this database.
Google Scholar -This is a subset of Google that searches through academic materials. Before using Google Scholar make sure you have set your Scholar Preference so that you can access UMaine online subscriptions. You need a UMaine Card to access online journals.
