Checking out books
- Your UMaine card is your library card.
- As graduate students you can check out book from Fogler Library for the entire semester.
- You can renew your books online by clicking on the link for User Services.
- If the book is held by the University of Maine System at a different
campus, you can use the request button at the top of the page to have
the book sent to Fogler. You can also use the request link on MaineCat.

Interlibrary Loan
- Books and journal articles that are not owned by the Raymond H. Fogler library may be borrowed from other libraries.
- Follow the link to fill out the form Interlibrary Loan.

Connecting to Databases Remotely
- You can connect to the databases remotely using your name and the
number on the back of your UMaine card
- Your account should have automatically activated with registration.
If you have a problem go to the main circulation desk on the first floor of
Fogler
|
Printing
- Every semester $16 is placed in your account for printing. The cost
is $.04/page
- You can photocopy for $.08/per page with your Bear Buck
- There are 2 scanner beds on the first floor of Fogler that can be used
to scan print articles (Media Resource Room and Collaborative Media Center).
Scanning is free.

Locating Print Journals in Fogler
- The journals are shelved in alphabetic order unless otherwise noted in
URSUS.
- The stairs to the journals are located in the older part of the
library. You can only get to Floors 1b and 2b through these
stairs.
