Useful Databases
PsycINFO This database contains references and abstracts to over 1,300 journals in more than 20 languages dating from 1887-present. The database includes empirical studies, case studies, surveys, bibliographies, literature reviews, discussion articles, conference reports and dissertations.
Web of Science This database provides access to Science Citation Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts and Humanities Citation Index. It covers current and retrospective information from about 8,500 high impact research journals.
Google Scholar This is a subset of Google that is limited to scholarly article citations.

Library Procedures
Interlibrary Loan Journal articles (and books) that are not owned by the Raymond H. Fogler library may be borrowed from other libraries. You will need an ILLiad account from http://library.umaine.edu/ill/.
Connecting to Databases Remotely You will need to authenticate using your name and the 14 digit number on the back of your UMaine card (barcode) If you card does not work contact circulation at 581-1641 or visit the Circulation Desk on the first floor of Fogler
Printing/Photocopying Every semester $16 is placed in your account for printing. Printing on the library printers is $.04 a page. Photocopying is $.08 per page and comes from your Bear Bucks money You can add money to your UMaine Card at the VTS machines. There is a machine in the circulation area and another in the Memorial Union next to the ATM machine. You can also add money at the UMaine Card office in the Memorial Union
Locating Print Journals in Fogler Current print journal are located in the Presidents Room on the second floor of Fogler. Floor 1 contains A -- Chemical Floor 1b contains Chemie Ingenieur Technik -- Journal of Reprints for Anti-Trust Law and Economics Floor 2 contains Journal of Reproduction and Fertility -- Physical Review Floor 2b contains Physical Review A -- Zygon
