URSUS - Fogler Library's catalog, use it to look for books. There are other libraries in this catalog, as well; look for O or ORO to tell if a book is here. If you want to order a book from another library, click on the Request button on the top of the page. You will be asked for your name and barcode (on the back of your MaineCard).
Social Work Abstracts - This database covers most journals in the field of social work. For articles not directly available in full text, Article Linker is used to check to see if we have access through Fogler Library. Please be aware that there can be only 4 users at a time.
Social Services Abstracts - This database includes many social work journals, as well as some journals in other social science fields. There are no limits on the number of users.
Other databases that may be helpful, and that use Article Linker, include:
Request (click for a demo) allows you to order books to be sent to Fogler from other URSUS libraries.
Article Linker (click for a demo) allows you to automatically check URSUS for electronic and/or print subscriptions.
Interlibrary Loan - use for sources you can't access through Fogler
It is very important to cite words and/or ideas you take straight from another work and put into your paper. You can find examples online atthe Purdue Online Writing Lab.
