Finding Evidence for a Social, Scientific or Consumer Issue

  1. Review the table at Identifying Scholarly Journals vs. Popular & Trade Magazines.
  2. Read an article or editorial from a newspaper or popular magazine that covers a social issue, scientific issue, or consumer issue. Locate evidence in a scholarly journal that supports or refutes points made in the article. Be prepared to demonstrate for the class how you accomplished this.
