Note that the list indicates ASP, BSP, and MUSE as electronic backups for some titles being cancelled.
ASP =Academic Search Premier
BSP =Business Source Premier. These two databases are accessible from http://www.library.umaine.edu/indexesdb/Indexes.asp.MUSE = Project MUSE full-text journal database, for which the Library has a trial at http://www.library.umaine.edu/colldev/trials.htm. The Library's subscription to Project MUSE begins in January 2004. In essence, the Library will be subscribing to the 200+ electronic journals that comprise MUSE. Via Project MUSE, the 100+ print journals listed on the cancellations list will continue in electronic format, and the University will have access to more than 120 additional titles for which we do not have current subscriptions.
The library is working on a solution that will enable users to enter a journal title in URSUS or another resource and go directly to the full-text content in various databases such as ASP, BSP, and MUSE.
