How Materials Are Acquired For New Programs And Courses |
The lack of journals and books to support new programs and courses can be a major source of frustration for faculty, students, and the Library staff. The Library does not automatically receive money for materials to support additions to or changes in the curriculum, even when the need for such materials is noted during the undergraduate or graduate curriculum committee approval process.
Faculty who are planning new programs and courses should contact the librarian assigned to their department to discuss needed library materials and ways of securing funding for them.
