Full Text Resources for Journal Articles

In addition to those full-text journals available through links in URSUS
records and ejournals@maine, Fogler Library also subscribes to several databases that
index and provide access to full-text journal and newspaper articles. NOTE: Most of these
databases include a variety of material, including full-text articles, citations
with abstracts, and citations.
Finding full text faster
ArticleLinker links have been set up in most of the major databases subscribed
by the library, such as those from EBSCO (e.g. Academic Search Premier, PsycINFO),
CSA (e.g. Sociological Abstracts, Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts), and
Gale (MLA Bibliography).
- Click on the ArticleLinker icon next to journal article citations in many of our
online indexes and databases

Select your campus
- Click one of the “Go to: Article” links, if available, OR
- Click to search URSUS for the print journal at the library, OR
- Submit a completed Interlibrary Loan request form
If there are no ArticleLinker icons next to citations in a database, the
publisher may not support the technology used, and URSUS should be consulted for

General-purpose databases that index a broad
selection of scholarly, professional, and popular periodicals:
- Academic Search
Premier - Full text for nearly 4,000 and indexing for over 7,000
journals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science,
multi-cultural studies, education, and more.

EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service - journals available through EBSCO Subscription
Services, including access to many full text articles in all subject areas.
- JSTOR - Full text interdisciplinary archive of 360 important scholarly
journals, from the late 1800s to end of the twentieth century.
- MasterFILE Premier
- Over 1,900 periodicals and reference works covering nearly all subjects including general reference,
business, health, and much more.
- MAS
Ultra--School Edition [K-12] - 500 general interest and current events
magazines plus hundreds of reference works and thousands of primary source
documents.
- Middle Search Plus
[K-6] - 150 magazines covering general topics appropriate for middle and
jr. high school students.
- Primary Search
[K-3] - Over 60 children's magazines and over 100 children's pamphlets,
designed for the elementary school student.
