About JCR
Journal Citation Reports JCR allows the user to evaluate and compare the impact of journals that are indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded and the Social Science Citation Index.

You can search either the JCR Science Edition or the JCR Social Science edition, but you cannot search them simultaneously.
You can view all the journals in a Subject Category of either the Science or Social Science.  You can also view all the journals in Science or Social Science or search for a specific journal.
Subject Category Search
Some subjects, like Psychology are included in both JCR Science and JCR Social Sciences Education. Below is the selection of Psychology from the Science edition. The information can be viewed either by journal data or category.

In the Social Sciences Edition there are 10 Psychology subject categories with 428 journals listed.

The default sort is to list the journals alphabetically.

You can change the sort to impact factors, total cites, immediacy index, current articles or cited half-life.

Viewing Category Data
You can view a single category or you can compare category data. If you want to add categories that are not next to each other you can hold down the control key and then highlight them with the mouse. I have selected the subject category Behavioral Sciences from the Science Edition

After you click on the submit button you will see the category that you have selected.  You can now see the Total Cites,  Aggregate Impact Factor,  Aggregate Immediacy Index,  Aggregate Cited Half-life, Number of Journals in the category and total number of Articles. For more information (such as what these terms mean)  click on the link for the journal name.

The scope note button will tell you all the topics that are covered within the category.
Journal Search
There are a number of ways to search for an individual journal.  The default setting is for Full Journal Title.  You can also search by Abbreviated Journal Title, Title Word and ISSN.

It is important to look at the examples of how to enter the journal title or ISSN information.  There is also a list of full journal titles.

You can now see the Total Cites, Impact Factor, Immediacy Index, Articles, and Cited Half-life,  For more information (such as what these terms mean)  click on the link for the journal name.

This page contains information for the terms in the table and the links below the table. It also contains  buttons to more information categories about the journal. The impact factor trend button will let you see the impact factor of the journal for five years.

The related journals button will let you see journals that are related based on their citations.  These are not necessarily journals in the same category.

View All Journals
You can also view all the journals in a subject category. Below is the list for all the journals in the Science Edition. The default sort is by journal title. You can change the sort to impact factors, total cites, immediacy index, current articles or cited half-life.
