WHAT do we
have?
|
- The
Library has systematically collected UN (UN) documents from
the inception in 1945 by subscribing to a service which issues
microform copies of most of the official documents of the General
Assembly, Secretariat, Security Council, its committees, and the
agencies reporting directly to the U.N. organization.
- Our
collection numbers about 450,000 items, excepting
U.N.
sales documents, i.e.statistical and popular
publications for mass distribution, or
issued by "member organizations" such as the Food and
Agricultural Organization (FAO), UN Educational, Social and
Cultural Organization (UNESCO), or the World Health Organization
(WHO). Selected documents from these and
other international organizations have been acquired and are included in the Library's circulating collection.
