URSUS and MaineCat delivery services
Most books that are listed in the URSUS and
MaineCat catalogs with the status "Available," and are located at
libraries other than Fogler (e.g., UM-Fort Kent, Bowdoin), may be requested
online. When viewing a record in URSUS for an item you wish to request,
click the request button and enter the information required. In the box labeled
"Choose Pickup Location," select "Orono." Within MaineCat,
first select "Univ of Maine" from the pull-down menu below the
heading
"Choose Your Library." After the lending library mails the books to Fogler
Library, Circulation staff will check them out to you and send them through campus
mail. Books are usually delivered within one week.
Use ILLiad for articles in journals not held by Fogler Library, and for books not listed in, or not currently "available" for request in, the URSUS and MaineCat catalogs.
