A. LIBRARY INSTRUCTION SESSIONS
   As classes get underway we want to remind you that librarians in the Reference and Science & Engineering departments at Fogler are available to provide instructional sessions for your students. These sessions can cover specific databases, or a variety of research materials, that will aid your students in their class work. For Humanities and Social Science disciplines, contact Nancy Lewis: <nancy.lewis@umit.maine.edu> or 207-581-3713; for Science and Engineering disciplines, contact Jim Bird: <jim.bird@umit.maine.edu> or 207-581-1697.

B. LIBRARY'S FALL WORKSHOP SERIES
   The schedule for the Library's Fall Workshop Series is available at: <www.library.umaine.edu/newmedia/> This term's workshops include Adobe Suite training, web authoring and CSS, EndNote (bibliographic management tool) and The Patent Mindset, an all day seminar covering patent searching and services. 2. COLLECTIONS
A. ARTSTOR DATABASE NOW AVAILABLE
    ARTstor is accessible through the Library web at <www.library.umaine.edu/indexesdb/Indexes.asp>. ARTstor is a digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences, with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes. Optional registration allows increased functionality such as saving and organizing images into folders for later retrieval and presentation. Faculty-level users may upload personal collections of images, which can then be shared by the person posting them with others at UMaine by adding them to image groups in shared folders.
