A. NEW RESEARCH CONSULTATION AREA
Fogler Library is pleased to introduce our new Research Consultation Area. This area, located on the 1st floor in the Information Commons, will be used by Fogler librarians, the Writing Center, and the Tutor Program for individual or small group assistance, generally on a by-appointment basis. Fogler librarians will use the facility during the day, and you can contact us a 581-1673 (humanities or social sciences) or 581-1691 (sciences) or through our Ask-a-Librarian <http://maine.cb.docutek.com/um/vrl_entry.asp> site to set up an appointment with a subject librarian. Sessions with academic tutors can be scheduled for Sunday through Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 pm. Contact the Tutor Program <http://www.umaine.edu/tutorprogram/> at 581-2351 to schedule an appointment. The Writing Center <http://www.umaine.edu/wcenter/> will staff the Research Consultation Area Sunday through Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 pm; you may arrange an appointment by calling them at 581-3828, or you may drop in.
A. LIBRARY WEB PAGE FOR FACULTY
Did you know that Fogler Library maintains a web page expressly for faculty, with links to internal and external services and information that we hope will be useful?
You'll find news items about the status of any Library project requiring faculty input, new books on order; and announcements of new databases on trial. There are interactive Library forms for campus delivery of journal articles and books, as well as for placing materials on Reserve (both hard-copy and electronic format) for your courses. Other helpful information includes faculty liaison librarians for each department, how to schedule bibliographic instruction sessions for your classes, and much, much more. < http://www.library.umaine.edu/facultyservices.htm>
