A. FACULTY OF 1000 AND THE SCIENTIST
We have a 3 week trial to Faculty of 1000 (Biology and Medicine) and The
Scientist. Faculty of 1000 is a literature awareness tool that "comprehensively
and systematically highlights and reviews the most interesting papers published"
in the biological and medical sciences, based on the recommendations of selected
leading researchers. Faculty of 1000, run "by scientists for scientists,"
provides a rapidly updated overview of important papers and trends in the fields
covered. The Scientist is a magazine covering the latest developments in the
life sciences including research, technology and business. The Database Trials
web site is at <http://www.library.umaine.edu/colldev/trials.htm>
Please send your feedback to Jim Bird <jim.bird@umit.maine.edu>

of discipline-based subject modules in which leading scholars recommend and
summarize the most important and significant sources in each subject. Subjects
