1. COLLECTIONS
A. AMERICAN ANTIQUARIAN SOCIETY HISTORICAL PERIODICALS COLLECTIONS
Fogler Library now provides access to the American Antiquarian Society (AAS)
Historical Periodicals Collections, which include digitized images of the pages
of more than 6,500 American magazines and journals from the colonial era through
the Civil War and Reconstruction. Five series will be released:
* American Historical Periodicals Series 1: 1691-1820
* American Historical Periodicals Series 2: 1821-1837
* American Historical Periodicals Series 3: 1838-1852
* American Historical Periodicals Series 4: 1853-1865
* American Historical Periodicals Series 5: 1866-1877
The first three series are available now, and cover colonial history,
agriculture, entertainment, fashion, family life, religion, literature, science,
politics, industrialization, the railroads, regional political differences, and
life on the western frontier. Access, search, and browse the collections via the

or search for periodical titles in our Ejournals portal: <http://www.library.umaine.edu/ejournals/>.
