A. COHEN FORUM
A forum entitled "The Media Threatened? Protecting the Free Flow of Information" will be held in Minsky Auditorium from 1 to 4 pm, Wednesday, October 29, 2003 with a reception to follow in Bodwell Lounge. The event is free, but registration is encouraged. For details, see the web page at http://www.library.umaine.edu/cohen/forum.htm. The Library created the William S. Cohen Papers Forum to raise awareness about the diverse research materials in the collection and to provide a forum for public discussion of current affairs. The topic of the series will change each year, thus involving faculty, students, and community members from various disciplines over time.For further information contact: Paige S. B. FOGLER LIBRARY OPEN DURING CONSTRUCTION
Construction of the front steps of Fogler Library began this summer with an anticipated completion in November 2003. The new mall entrance will be handicap accessible and is a welcome improvement to the Library. The East entrance across from the Memorial Union is open and both sets of doors are barrier free. The Library hours remain the same as last year and are at http://library.umaine.edu/about/hours.htm.
A. RESERVE REMINDER
Circulation staff are ready to process your reserve requests, both regular and electronic. The Circulation desk is open all library hours and staff will accept reserve requests and materials during all building hours. For more information regarding reserves and to locate the reserve forms please go to http://library.umaine.edu/reserves/default.htm.
B. "FOR THE FACULTY" HOME PAGE
Fogler Library staff created a home page specifically to help faculty find information and resources quickly. Please add this home page to your favorites list for the Library links you need daily, http://library.umaine.edu/govdoc/forfaculty.htm.

Fogler Library’s Media Resource Center, located on the second floor, has collections of equipment and media for you to use in house and to borrow. Please go to http://library.umaine.edu/mrc/ for more information.
