A. WORKSHOP FOR FACULTY: WEB OF SCIENCE; JSTOR
The Reference Department of Fogler Library is offering training for faculty
on two of our newer databases: Web of Science and JSTOR. This 90 minute
session will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 11 in the first floor
Fogler Library Classroom. As attendance is limited to 20, please RSVP to
Lisa Tyson email@example.com or 207-581-1675.
Web of Science provides access to the Science Citation Expanded®, Social
Sciences Citation Index®, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index™. Covers
current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from approximately
8,500 of the most prestigious, high impact research journals in the world.
Provides cited reference searching, with which users can navigate forward,
backward, and through the literature, searching all disciplines to uncover
information relevant to their research.
JSTOR, originally conceived by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, is a digital
archive of complete backfiles for 360 core scholarly journals in the
humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Many date from the 19th century.
