A. AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR INSTALLED
A portable Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been installed on the wall near the check-out desk at the east entrance of Fogler Library, across from the Memorial Union. The AED is a life-saving device used in cases of possible cardiac arrest. Once the alarmed cabinet door is opened, an automatic call goes out to public safety and ambulance service, and the AED can be taken to the victim. Members of the University community are encouraged to learn CPR and how to use an AED. For more information about CPR/AED training, contact Dennis Russell at Cutler Health Center, email@example.com or 207-581-4017.
