1. DATABASES
A. USA TRADE ONLINE - U.S. FOREIGN TRADE DATA
USA Trade Online provides specific U.S. export and import information on more
than 18,000 commodities world wide. Includes 2- through 10- digit HS detail for
both import and export commodities including: monthly data dating back to
January 2002, cumulative "year to date" data dating back to 2002, annual data
dating back to 1992, and district-level data. Accessible via a link from the
Library's Indexes and Databases page (www.library.umaine.edu/indexesdb/Indexes.asp).
B. NEW: COCHRANE LIBRARY DATABASE
Thanks to funding from the University of Maine System Libraries, Fogler Library
is pleased to announce the availability of the Cochrane Library database. It is
a "unique source of reliable and up-to-date information on the effects of
interventions in health care. Published on a quarterly basis, The Cochrane
Library is designed to provide information and evidence to support decisions
taken in health care and to inform those receiving care." To access, go to
