Cambridge Structural Database System Guide |
The Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) System, produced by the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre, provides access to bibliographic, chemical, and crystallographic information about small molecule crystal structures. The CSD includes over 300,000 entries, incorporating both openly published and privately submitted data on organic molecules and organometallic compounds.
Users of this system must install client software (at a minimum, the ConQuest search software, the Mercury 3-D crystal structure viewer, and the data files) on their own workstations. The latest version available from Fogler Library is the November 2003 annual update. Currently the system is also loaded on a workstation in the Science and Engineering Center on the second floor of the library.
