Classification
- NAICS - North American Industry Classification System The North American Industry Classification System replaced the U.S. Standard Industrial Classification in 1997.
- SIC - Standard Industrial Classification Manual Classification system for businesses organized "by the type of activity in which they are engaged." In 1997, this classification system was replaced by the NAICS in order to combine the separate classification systems of the US, Canada and Mexico.
