Carol Hurst's Children's Literature Site
 Rebecca Otis, daughter of Carol Hurst, has maintained this site since 1996. Carol Hurst was a former teacher and school librarian who became a writer of children's literature and educational materials. Rebecca Otis began publishing educational materials with Carol Hurst in 1991.  This site contains both book reviews and classroom activities.
The Children's Book Council
The Children's Book Council is a nonprofit trade association of publishers and packagers of trade books for children and young adults. The site includes links to reading lists and author/illustrator sites.
Canadian Children's Book Centre
This site includes books reviews and awards for Canadian books. The site is designed and maintained by The Canadian Children's Book Centre, a national, not-for-profit organization, founded in 1976. The site includes links for author/illustrator, student resources,  professional resources, and Canadian book awards.
Doucette Index
This site contains an index containing teaching ideas for K-12 literature that is searchable by author, title, and illustrator. This index is designed and maintained by the University of Calgary.
Horn Book Resources
This site is from Horn Book Magazine includes recommended books, classroom tips, family reading, and links to Horns lists of national, international and state book awards.

This site contains searchable database of award-winning children and young adult literature. The site was designed and is maintained by Lisa Bartle, reference librarian at California State University, San Bernardino.
Geisel Award  Author award for book for beginning readers - given by the American Library Association
Boston Globe–Horn Book Awards  Book awards fiction and poetry, picture book, and nonfiction -given by  Horn Book Magazine and the Boston Globe.
Newbery Medal Author award for children's book- given by American Library Association
Notable Trade Books for Young People Best social science books for children-list selected by  National Council for the Social Studies and the Children's Book Council.
Orbis Pictus Award -Author award for nonfiction - given by the National Council of Teachers of English
Outstanding Science Trade Books K-12- Best science trade books for children - list selected by the National Science Teachers Association and the Children's Book Council.
