• Country Commercial Guides Lengthy annual reports (100+ pages) on over 140 countries.  Includes information on best export sectors, trade regulations, investment climate, and business travel.  Published by the U.S. Department of Commerce.  Available through STAT-USA (select GLOBUS & NTDB). 



• CountryWatch Country Reviews
  Annual lengthy reports (100+pages) on the economic, political, and investment environment of over 190 countries. 



• Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) 
  All reports are available through Business Source Premier (select Country Reports, then Publisher, then Economist Intelligence Unit).  Three types of reports are available:
  • Country Commerce: Annual report (6 month delay).  For those planning business development.  Includes information on regulatory environment, information on organizing an investment, competition and price policies, taxes, human resources, and e-commerce.  Sample report: South Africa
  • Country Profile: Annual report.  Provides political background information as well as details on infrastructure (e.g., education, transportation), and the economy and different economic sectors (e.g., manufacturing).  Sample report: Romania
  • Country Reports: Monthly report (6 month delay).  Reviews current economic and political environment as well as providing forecasts and trends.  Sample report: Philippines


• Global Insight
  Supplies Country Monitor Reports (10+ pages) on over 110 nations.  Focus is on developments and trends in macroeconomics (e.g., exchange rate, inflation, monetary policy, trade).  Available through Business Source Premier (select Country Reports, then Publisher, then Global Insight).
  
  
• PRS Group: Political Risk Yearbooks Political risk reports on about 100 countries.  Each reports includes 2 sections - Country Conditions (e.g., legal framework, labor conditions, international agreements) and Country Forecast (e.g., current data, forecast scenarios, politicians to watch)Available through Business Source Premier (select Country Reports, then Publisher, then PRS Group, Inc).
