Biography

Mary Ellen Chase was an author, novelist, and juvenile writer. She was born in Blue Hill, Maine in 1887 and graduated from University of Maine in 1909. She was a professor of English at Smith College (1926-196?) and resided in Northampton, Massachusetts. Mary Ellen Chase died in 1973.
