Biographical Information:
The Delano family lived in the Guilford/Abbot, Maine area. Washington Warren Delano b. Feb. 4, 1847 in Guilford, Maine, was the son of John and Mehitable Warren Delano and married Elizabeth Hartwell, daughter of Lysander and Lucy Rollins Hartwell. They had four children, Richard Hartwell Delano,b. 1879, Edward Warren Delano, b. 1880, Philip Hartwell Delano, b. 1884 and Helen Hartwell Delano, b. 1885. Edward Warren Delano was a University of Maine graduate. Edward's daughter, Elizabeth Delano Whiteman was the collector of these photographs and papers.
