The Lakewood Theater opened in 1901 as part of the Lakewood Resort on Wesserunsett
Lake, near Skowhegan, Maine. With the exception of the 1984 season, the theater has
operated annually since then. The collection contains material concerning the productions
of the theater. It contains programs, clippings, brochures and scrapbooks. There are no

The drawings were done mostly in the 1920's and 1930's in Maine, New
York, New Jersey, Missouri, Connecticut and North Carolina and
demonstrate the process of landscape design through the various types which are
included, such as rough sketches, sketches on older blueprints, preliminary
drawings, alternative drawings, final plans and final blueprints.
