Staff

Richard Hollinger, Head, Special Collections Dept., joined the staff in August 2000.  He has most recently been Curator of Manuscripts at the New Jersey Historical Society.  He has earned a B.A. and M.A. in History and a M.A. in Public History and Historic Preservation and is in the process of completing a Ph.D. in Archival Science at the University of Amsterdam.

Paige Lilly, Cohen Archivist, was appointed to this position in August of 2001.  She earned a bachelor's degree from Colby College and a master's degree from the University of Southern Maine. Her previous posts include archivist/librarian at The Shaker Library in Sabbathday Lake, and head of the research library at the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport.

Brenda Howitson Steeves, Reference Librarian, has been with Special Collections since August of 2003, working first as Processing Archivist on several projects and then as Reference Librarian beginning in July 2007.  Just prior to joining Fogler, she served as a library and archives consultant and before that she was Chief of Special Collections at the State Library of Massachusetts for 18 years. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her M.L.S. from Simmons College.

Elaine Smith, Library Assistant, joined the staff in 2001. She was previously the supervisor of the Helen S. Dunn Elementary school library in Olamon. She earned her B.A. from the University of Maine.
