ELECTRONIC RESOURCE RECOMMENDATION FORM
The University of Maine System library directors encourage you to submit recommendations for electronic resources to http://libraries.maine.edu/margateway/acquire/. New subscriptions or purchases of electronic resources represent ongoing fiscal commitments that are not covered by the UMS Libraries' core budget, unless additional funding is provided. (April 2005)

The University of Maine's Fogler Library, Maine Public Broadcasting Network and the Maine State Museum have created a new Web-based archive that makes available programs and video clips from two MPBN programs with relevance for Maine teachers and students. The Web site offers K-12 teachers, and teacher education programs, online professional development programming through the Annenberg/CPB educational distribution network. Windows on Maine is designed to support the integration of technologies into classroom instruction and curricula.

From Anthropology to Zoology and from Dance to Women's Studies, we have brought together books, journals, online resources and contact with your Fogler Library subject specialist under a single web page we call a portal. A subject portal serves as a doorway for your research needs that leads to many resources available both locally and globally via the Internet. A wide array of subject portals, 83 in all, is available to support your research and studies here at UMaine.

Illiad Logo INTRODUCING ILLiad
OUR NEW INTERLIBRARY LOAN SYSTEM
Fogler Library now has a new Interlibrary loan system. Go to the ILL website and you'll be directed to create an ILLiad account. You will be able to place all your requests through ILLiad.Once you've created an account you will not have to enter your personal information again. You'll be able to view and track all your requests from the time you place them until you receive them. We'll also deliver most articles electronically through your ILLiad page.
