| | Fogler showcases student art | |
Fogler Library is currently displaying the artwork of four students who participated in art classes this past year and whose work was shown in exhibits organized by Professor Diana Baumbach. We thank Dr. Baumbach who regularly partners with Fogler Library on the curation of student artwork.
The exhibit is located in the north-south hallway that connects the old and new parts of the library and it will be available for viewing through the 2025–26 academic year. Please stop by when you are in the area to enjoy the work of these talented young artists.

Digital Object Identifiers minting service now available
Fogler Library now offers a service for minting Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for UMaine System publications, research, and shared objects. This service is available to any current student, staff, or faculty member from any University of Maine System campus. A Digital Object Identifier is a unique and persistent identifier and URL for a publication/object. It serves as an enduring path to the object’s location online despite changes to hosting over time. DOIs offer many benefits to your work, providing permanent and stable access to your material. This enhances discoverability, making it easy for others to accurately cite your work. That, in turn, improves tracking and metrics, allowing automated systems to easily track citations of your work. For more information about DOIs, see the guide, or contact Open Scholarship Librarian Casey Koons.
