Borrow Technology Equipment

Members of the UMaine community in need of A/V equipment for classroom or other presentations may reserve LCD projectors, laptops, cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, tripods, microphones, and public address systems through Fogler Library.

Technology for Faculty Teaching Remotely

Fogler Library has additional technology equipment available for faculty to support remote teaching. The additional equipment includes microphones, webcams, cell phone tripods, voice amplifiers, and more.

Faculty may borrow this equipment for extended periods based on their teaching needs.

Reserve the equipment.

Visit or contact the Circulation Desk (207.581.1666 or um.library.circ@maine.edu), or visit the Audio/Video Equipment list in Reserves to identify equipment availability.

Pick up the equipment.

Pick up A/V equipment at the Fogler Library Circulation Desk. Users guides are available for all equipment but if you need help configuring or operating equipment, please contact IT Media Services, 207.581.2500, to schedule assistance at least 24-hours in advance of the scheduled presentation.

Loan Policy

  • 3-day loan period (loans may be extended to support remote teaching)
  • UM System students, faculty, and staff only
  • Valid UM System ID required for checkout

Laptop Computers

Laptops are available for 3-day checkout to University of Maine students, faculty, and staff. You will need to present your Maine Card to the Circulation staff.

Digitization Lab

Our Digitization Lab is available by appointment for converting analog media such as slides, 33/45 RPM records, audio cassettes, VHS tapes, and laser video discs to digital formats.
