How do we adapt and build resilience for our students in this age of polycrisis and transition? \n\n\n\nJoin us for a fast-paced energizing 90-minute event using Open Space principles to surface your ideas\, spark collaborations\, and design regenerative\, community-connected teaching plans in line with Gov Mill’s Safety Guidelines & Maine’s bold climate goals. \n\n\n\nThis event is aimed at faculty but is open to all\, including staff\, students and community members. Casey will provide an overview of Specto\, the new digital asset management system that will replace our institutional repository Digital Commons\, including its AI-driven contextual linking that connects research outputs to related data\, people\, and collections. \nParticipants will also learn about Maine Open Journals\, UMaine’s new journal publishing platform\, and Maine Open Books\, which supports Open Educational Resources (OER)\, “living documents\,” and collaborative reading and annotation. \nTogether\, these platforms expand opportunities for sharing\, discovering\, and engaging with research across the full scholarly lifecycle.
