Indexes and Databases

These electronic databases are licensed by Fogler Library.  Access is limited to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Maine.  Many of these databases provide access to journal article citations and abstracts, with some full text. Check with a librarian for further assistance.

Birds of the World	Birds of the World, produced by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, provides comprehensive information on birds such as behavior, habitat, range maps, images, and more. It brings together scholarly content from four major works of ornithology: Birds of North America, The Handbook of Birds of the World, Neotropical Birds, and Bird Families of the World. It also includes millions of bird observations from eBird and multimedia from the Macaulay Library. Continually updated.
