Indexes and Databases

These electronic databases are licensed by Fogler Library.  Access is limited to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Maine.  Many of these databases provide access to journal article citations and abstracts, with some full text. Check with a librarian for further assistance.

Cochrane Library	The Cochrane Library from publisher Wiley is used by a broad range of people interested in evidence-based health care, including consumers, clinicians, policy-makers, researchers, educators, students and others. It consists of seven databases: Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews; Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE); Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL); Cochrane Methodology Register; Cochrane Database of Methodology Reviews; Health Technology Assessment Database (HTA); NHS Economic Evaluation Database (NHS EED).
