What’s “Fogler Plus”? Raymond H. Fogler LibraryMerrill Library in Machias, Maine InfoNet, and the University of Maine Press provide library collections and related services under the direction of the University of Maine Dean of Libraries. We’ve renamed this newsletter to better reflect all Fogler Plus news and initiatives.

Up in Smoke: Myths & Facts about Cannabis

Let’s talk weed! Please join the Counseling Center, Student Wellness Resource Center, and our expert panelists on Thursday, Aprill 18, 2024 at 6:30 pm in The Salon or via Zoom for a lively discussion about cannabis – myths, facts, and how cannabis impacts your brain and mental health. This salon will be moderated by Angela Fileccia, LCSW, Director of the Counseling Center, and Kevin Hudson, MA, Student Wellness Educator and include panelists Robert Glover, PhD, Political Science & Honors; John Hudak, Director, Maine Office of Cannabis Policy; Krutika Rathod, Doctoral Student, Clinical Psychology; and Peter Sparks, PhD, Department of Psychology. This is a hybrid event and will not be recorded. Refreshments will be served. The Salon Series was made possible by Fogler Library, the UMaine Counseling Center, and the Student Wellness Resource Center.


New Administrative Coordinator and Assistant Financial Manager

Please join us in welcoming Rosie Seaber to the Fogler Plus Team as our very first Administrative Coordinator & Assistant Financial Manager. Rosie comes to us from the Office of Financial Planning & Analysis and before that, the Division of Marketing and Communications. Her first day will be Monday, April 22, 2024.
