1. Reading in Your Life: Children’s Books
Date & Time: March 7, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Location: Fogler Library Classroom 1

Do you have a favorite children’s book that you want to share with others? Then come to Reading in Your Life: Children’s Book, the finale in a three-meeting series of discussions about the writings that have delighted, surprised, and inspired you.

Bring an excerpt from your favorite children’s book to share with your fellow story lovers!

2. (RESCHEDULED) Introductory Python Workshop
Date & Time: March 22, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Location: Fogler Library Classroom 1

Due to weather, the Introductory Python workshop originally scheduled for March 8 has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 22.  For more information about the workshop and the presenter, please visit our website.

3. March Grants 101 Workshop
Date & Time: Tuesday, March 13, 2018, 10am-12pm

The Grant Development Office and Fogler Library are sponsoring “Grants 101: Seeking, Analyzing, and Writing Basics.” At the workshop, you will:

  • search for grants in PIVOT
  • analyze an agency’s Request for Proposals
  • learn Grant Writing Basics

4. HDCC Film Series, Global Oneness Project Short Films
Date & Time: Tuesday, March 20, 6pm-8pm
Location: Fogler Library Classroom I

As part of the Human Dimensions of Climate Change Film Series,  a showing of films from the Global Oneness Project will be held at Fogler Library. The short videos detail how climate change impacts individuals, communities, and other resources on the planet.

The film showing includes a discussion led by Beth Hufnagel, Assistant Professor of Science Education.

The Human Dimensions of Climate Change Film Series is sponsored by the Anthropology Department, the Climate Change Institute, the College of Education and Human Development, Fogler Library, and the Island Institute. Upcoming films in the 2018 series include:
