1. New Digital Collection: Celebrating Maine’s Bicentennial
A new library digital collection, Celebrating Maine’s Bicentennial, 1820-2020, provides online access to materials with particular relevance to the commemoration of Maine’s 200 years of statehood.  We hope the collection will serve as a resource for all residents, students, and scholars.  We are pleased that the materials, which include scans of early documents, maps, and theses, will be available to support the Maine Statehood and Bicentennial Conference being held in Orono and Augusta Thursday, May 30 to Saturday, June 1, 2019.

2. New UMaine Finding Aids Now Available
More finding aids for University of Maine records held by Fogler Library have been added to the finding aid page on Digital Commons. The most recent finding aids are for the Kaliss (Tony) Student Political Protest Papers and the College of Arts and Sciences records. Matthew Revitt (matthew.revitt@maine.edu), Special Collections and Maine Shared Collection Librarian is currently processing records on the Feminist Oral History Project.

3. Scheduling Library Instruction for Your Students
As you prepare for the summer and fall semesters, remember that librarians in the Reference and Information Literacy Department at Fogler are available to provide instructional sessions and/or web guides for your students. These sessions can cover specific databases or a variety of research materials that will aid your students in their class work. Contact Nancy Lewis at lewis@maine.edu or at 207-581-3613 for more information.
