Banned Books: Conversations at Fogler

Have you been hearing about book banning around the US and in Maine this year? Join Fogler’s Librarians for a guided group discussion on this topic on Wednesday, Oct. 4th, at 7:00 in the Salon (2nd floor). Snacks will be provided. Register here, as space is limited.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Wilde-Stein Club, UMaine Orono will be hosting two events on Friday Oct. 13, 2023: 12:30pm will be a ribbon cutting at the exhibit on the history of the club at Fogler Library. 2:00pm Wilde-Stein: 50 years, an open discussion with one of the Wilde-Stein Club’s founding members and a member of the current Wilde-Stein Club, which will be in person (McIntire room in  Buchanan Alumni House) and broadcast live over Zoom, with the ability to participate in the discussion. We hope you can join us to share your thoughts and stories from your time in the club or on campus. All events are FREE, but please reserve your spot for headcount purposes, or to receive a zoom link for the open discussion.
