Proxy bookmarklet update required

Do you use the proxy bookmarklet on your web browser toolbar, to instantly gain access to library-subscribed resources while searching online? Changes to state database subscriptions as of July 2024

Four database resources are being discontinued by the state’s Digital Maine Library starting in July, which means the University of Maine community will no longer have access to them: Gale Literature Resource, ProQuest Global Newsstream, World Book and Value Line. For news, the state will be subscribing to EBSCO’s Newspaper Source Plus as a replacement resource starting in September. Until September, you can access Gale’s Newsstand. For July, you can access Proquest Global Newsstream as a trial. Please contact Research & Instruction subject specialists to explore identifying and accessing content for your research needs.

Journey through the Dawnland: Wabanaki homelands scavenger hunt

Fogler Library is happy to participate as a site in the First Annual Wabanaki Homelands Scavenger Hunt! Come in to get a copy of the Scavenger Hunt information booklet, and locate a book by a Wabanaki author in Fogler’s collections to receive your Fogler stamp. The Scavenger Hunt begins June 24 and runs through the summer.

Stamp your travel log at participating destinations throughout what is now called Maine, and learn more about the Wabanaki and their homelands! As you collect stamps and answer questions in your travel log, you can win prizes including stickers, jewelry, and signed books by Wabanaki authors!
