What’s “Fogler Plus”? Raymond H. Fogler Library, Merrill Library in Machias, Maine InfoNet, and the University of Maine Press provide library collections and related services under the direction of the University of Maine Dean of Libraries. We’ve renamed this newsletter to better reflect all Fogler Plus news and initiatives.

Archival Finding Aid for the Records of the Maine Folklife Center

An archival finding aid for the records of the Maine Folklife Center held by Fogler Library has recently been added to the online archival content management tool ArchivesSpace. The records contain details of the founding of the Center on campus by Sandy Ives, various grants around preserving and providing access to archival collections, the Center’s many exhibits and publications, and the involvement of Center staff in organizing the annual folk festivals in Bangor.

Final Human Dimensions of Climate Change Film Screening Tonight!

Fogler Library is one of the co-sponsors of this year’s Human Dimensions in Climate Change film series. The third and final film of the series, To Which We Belong, will be shown on April 9th, 2024 @5pm in 140 Williams Hall. The guest speaker for the film is Dr. Rachel Schattman, University of Maine Assistant Professor of Sustainable Agriculture.
