Community ID cards
Most Maine residents can use their local library card to borrow most materials at Fogler Library. Speak with Circulation staff; purchase may be unnecessary given we accept cards from most libraries in Maine.

Other Maine Library ID Cards
Fogler Library accepts almost any barcoded library card from a Maine library that is linked to a valid record accessible in our system. Fogler is also a Maine Reciprocal Borrowing Program Library.

Courtesy Cards
Card issue: Circulation Desk. Maine residents (including seasonal) not affiliated with UMaine/University of Maine System may purchase a courtesy ID card. State employees must pay full fee. Applicants must be high school age or older. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian when applying for a card (not necessary for card renewal). Courtesy cards are issued to individuals only, not to businesses or organizations. Popular Reading titles in the Reserve Reading Room may be renewed once for 4 weeks. Read policy before attempting to purchase card. Sign into your LIbrarySearch account as a “community borrower” to verify due dates.
Alumni/ae Cards
