Hot off the Press! UMaine Libraries 2023–2024 Annual Impact Report

We’re thrilled to share the release of UMaine Libraries’ very first Annual Impact Report! Dive in and discover the incredible achievements and initiatives across the four powerhouse branches of UMaine Libraries: Raymond H. Fogler Library, Merrill Library in Machias, Maine InfoNet, and the University of Maine Press. From providing top-tier collections and services to the UMaine System and reaching communities far and wide, our dedicated teams are making a difference every day!

As the largest library in Maine, the state’s designated research library for business, science, and technology, and the only Patent and Trademark Resource Center in Maine, we’re proud to be at the heart of our state’s “big small town” community. Check out our report to see how we’re helping Maine thrive and grow!

Native American History Month resources

In honor of Native American History Month, and the university’s place within Penobscot Nation homeland, here is a list of books and sections of books by Wabanaki authors, all of which are available through awihkhikaní-wikəwαm (“book house,” or “Fogler Library,” in the Penobscot language).

Upcoming immigration challenge

Want to know more about immigration and the lives of immigrants? Sign up for the Immigration Challenge, a collaboration between Fogler Library and UMaine’s Office of International Programs! Every day for five days during International Education Week (November 18–22), you’ll receive an email focused on a different aspect of immigration and immigrants’ experiences, with links to articles, videos, books, and more! Sign up with your name and email address at this link.
