1. R for Beginners Workshop Available Online
A recording of Fogler Library’s February 8th “R for Beginners” Workshop is now available online through Adobe Connect.
Presented by Professor Aaron Weiskittel, the workshop provides an introduction and demonstration of some of the capabilities of R, a widely used language and environment for managing, graphing, and analyzing data of all forms (e.g., spatial, quantitative, and qualitative). The workshop was presented in collaboration with UMaine’s Advanced Computing Group, who has made the recording available online.
2. Reading in Your Life: Short Stories (tonight)

Location: Fogler Library Classroom 1
Love reading short fiction and want to share your favorites? Then come to Reading in Your Life: Short Stories, the second in a three-meeting series of discussions about the writings that have delighted, surprised, and inspired you.
Bring your favorite short story excerpt (no more than one single-sided page, please) to share with your fellow story lovers!
Participants are not required to attend all three meetings of the series.
3. Black History Month Book Circle
Date & Time: February 26, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Location: Fogler Library Classroom 1
Come celebrate your favorite black authors of all genres! Learn about influential classics and new and up and coming authors while supporting black authorship and cultural representation!
