1. Introduction to Cloud Data Storage
Date & Time: April 12, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Location: Fogler Library Library Classroom 1

Research data has value long after you publish an article. Where can you store your data to comply with funder requirements? How can you share it with future collaborators, or store sensitive data securely?

Cloud data storage, a vital component of research data management, will help you meet these needs. At this workshop, learn about Google Drive and Box, as well as ACG’s Seafile for your large data sets. Time permitting, hear about other ACG resources, including DMPTool, Maine Dataverse Network, and virtual machines.

This workshop is presented in collaboration with UMaine’s Advanced Computing Group. If you would prefer to attend online instead, please contact acg@maine.edu.

2. Group Study Rooms for Students
If students in your courses need space to work on group projects and presentations, Fogler Library has three rooms available for groups of 3-8 students. Students can book a room for up to three hours per day. All reservations can be made through the Circulation desk at Fogler Library.

Please share this with any students who may need a space for group projects.

3. Introduction to Patent Searching Workshop Slides
Powerpoint slides and materials from the Patent Searching workshop held on April 5 are now available online. If you’re interested in setting up an information session with the Patent and Trademark Resource Center Representative at the University of Maine please send an email to rachel.a.knapp@maine.edu.
