1. Access to Academic Search Complete Ending on June 30th, 2019
Last summer, the Maine State Library began a contract with a new vendor, Gale, to provide a statewide package of resources to libraries throughout Maine. Because the package is purchased with state funding via an RFP process, a committee representing the many different libraries in the state worked collaboratively to choose Gale after an extensive review of vendor proposals, products, costs, and their ability to meet the needs of library users across Maine.
Academic Search Complete, a resource from the previous statewide package, was maintained for an additional year. As of June 30th, 2019, Academic Search Complete will no longer be available.
You may be linking to Academic Search Complete through persistent URLs in your courses, your research, or in citation managers. As soon as possible, we recommend that you check each persistent URL you have saved. For those who are affected by this change, the staff at Fogler Library is committed to helping you transition with a minimal impact on your courses or research. If you’re using Academic Search Complete, please contact your subject specialist at Fogler Library.
