Featured Resource: Guide to Library Links in Google Scholar

If you use Google Scholar in your research, this guide will help you set up a link to Fogler Library resources. After setting up the link, Google Scholar will provide links to full-text journal articles available through Fogler Library that appear in your search results.

1. Technology Equipment for Faculty

University of Maine IT has purchased additional technology equipment that can be checked out through Fogler Library. The additional equipment includes tools for remote instruction such as microphones, webcams, cell phone tripods, and more.

Please visit our website for a full list of technology equipment available through Fogler Library.

Zoom service is available Sunday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm; Monday through Wednesday 9:00 am – 10:00 am, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, and 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm; Thursday 9:00 am – 10:00 am, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm; Friday 9:00 am – 10:00 am, and 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Our live chat and email services are available during all Reference department hours. Faculty should continue to refer students working on particular assignments to their subject librarians.

Please contact Nancy Lewis (lewis@maine.edu) with any questions about Reference service.

3. Fogler Library Mystery Scavenger Hunt

Do you know of students who would like a general orientation to Fogler Library? Fogler librarians have created an online Mystery Scavenger Hunt! Students will be introduced to the library and its website all while trying to solve the case of the missing blueberry map.

You can find the Mystery Scavenger Hunt on our website. Please share with any students interested in learning more about library resources.

4. COVID-19 Delivery Options

UMaine students, faculty, and staff unable to retrieve library materials in person can arrange to have those materials delivered by mail. To initiate this process, please locate your item(s) in URSUS and use the request function (look for a red check mark above the search fields).

When your item is available, you will receive an email notification. At that point, please email Fogler Library Circulation Staff (um.library.circ@maine.edu) to discuss delivery options. You must contact us to initiate delivery even if you previously had books mailed to you over the summer.
