Latin American Film FestivalFogler Library will be hosting a Latin American Film Festival starting February 14 @7pm in the Salon at the Lynch Room. The series will include five Spanish and Portuguese language films subtitled in English across a variety of genres, highlighting Latin American voices and subjects in cinema. The first film, Perfect Strangers, is a comedy about modern communication. Students, staff, and faculty can find more information about all the films in the series on the Fogler Events calendar. These are live events, including Q&A and speakers, with streaming options available (username: SFC@UniversityofMaine password: FilmFestUofMaine23) for one week after the live viewing. If faculty are interested in offering extra credit to students who attend this event, please contact Christopher Clark at christopher.clark@maine.edu
February is Black History Month

Fogler has a couple of resources we’d like to highlight. First, we have a guide for Black History Month Resources.

And we also invite you to celebrate and support our Black families, colleagues, and communities by participating in the Racial Justice Challenge. This self-paced program includes tasks designed to provide participants with a space to learn, share ideas, and take action toward racial justice.
