Borrow, Renew, Request
Fogler Library makes it easy to access the materials you need. Borrow books, media, and equipment with your University of Maine ID, renew items online, and request materials from other libraries through interlibrary loan or URSUS. Cataloging Services
The Cataloging Department ensures library materials are accurately described and easy to find. We maintain and enhance records in the library catalog, making physical and digital resources accessible to users through standardized classification and metadata practices. Our work supports discovery, organization, and long-term access to the library’s collections.
Circulation Services
The Research & Instruction team supports students and fThe Circulation Desk is your main point of contact for borrowing, returning, and renewing library materials. We assist with checking out books, media, course reserves, and equipment, and can help you manage your library account. Whether you need to place a hold, pay a fine, or find out what’s available, our team is here to help keep you connected to the resources you need.
Collection Services
Fogler Library’s Collection Services team is responsible for selecting, acquiring, and managing the library’s physical and electronic resources. We work to build a collection that supports the research, teaching, and learning needs of the University of Maine community. Patent & Trademark Resource Center Services
Fogler Library is a designated Patent and Trademark Resource Center, offering specialized support for navigating the U.S. patent and trademark systems. We provide access to official USPTO tools and databases, as well as assistance with preliminary patent and trademark searches.
