MS 106.3.3.7 Energy 1961-1996 45 boxes

Records in this subseries document attempts made by Senator Cohen and other members of the U.S. Congress to decrease New England's dependency on foreign oil by promoting the use of other sources of energy and by encouraging energy conservation and efficiency. Related issues concern the proposed reorganization of the Department of Energy in the early 1980s, problems posed by nuclear waste, energy assistance programs, and a long-standing controversy over the proposed Dickey-Lincoln power plant in northern Maine. The records are divided into four subdivisions based on the work of the legislative assistants who created them:

106.3.3.7.2  Carol Woodcock, 1979-1983
106.3.3.7.3  Katherine DeCoster, 1984-1991
106.3.3.7.4  Wendy Cramer and David Wilby,1991-1996
