Agnew resigned due to charges leveled against him concerning
extortion, bribery, and income-tax evasion. President Nixon
nominated Gerald R. Ford to be Vice President after Agnew's
resignation. Records include transcripts of proceedings, news
clippings, and background information concerning the House Judiciary
Committee investigation and confirmation of Ford's nomination.
